This is the only show that survives from the 1970's, This was way before the day of home video recorders. The only way this show survives is because at that time it was recorded on a Quad tape. This format no longer exists. When I went to work for WOAC they had an ancient machine they kept for just that purpose. To dub down old videos in the Television industry. I was able to get a copy before I left.
The DVD also contains a show I did at WOAC in Canton, Ohio and one I did at WOIO for Halloween. This is truely a BLAST FROM THE PAST and a collector's item you should have! |

When a singer(Susanne Loret) is horribly disfigured in a car accident, a scientist (Alberto Lupo) develops a treatment which can restore her beauty by injecting her with a special serum. While performing the procedure, however, he falls in love with her. As the treatment begins to fail, he determines to save her appearance, regardless of how many women he must kill for her sake. |

House On Haunted Hill
|
The five guests all arrive in separate funeral cars with a hearse leading, which he explains may be empty now, but they may be in need of it later. He explains the rules of the party and gives each of the guests a .45 caliber pistol for protection. Loren's wife tries to warn the guests that her husband is psychotic, causing them to be very suspicious of him, especially Nora Manning (Carolyn Craig), who becomes convinced that he's trying to kill her when she keeps seeing mysterious ghouls, including the ghost of Annabelle, who had hanged herself after being forced to attend the party. |

Beast from Haunted Cave
|
This is an interesting mixture of creature and criminals. Most of the human characters (except Gil) are members of a professional group of robbers. The gang's operations are well planned and often quite profitable. Their latest target is the ingot-filled safe of a small gold mine near a ski resort. Unforeseen complications, including a horrific spider-like monster, make for an interesting story. Before the film ends, a final confrontation between the characters and the Beast is required. Amusingly, at one point the monster is advancing on Gil as he ineffectually delivers shot after shot from his rifle. Gypsy starts throwing rocks at the arachnid menace and it stops pursuing Gil to chase the girl. Either the creature is stupid or Gil is shooting blanks. Bullets have no effect, but Alex and Marty are carrying Very (flare) pistols. Maybe those can hurt it. It's a 50's monster movie, do ya think? |

Satnic Rites of Dracula |
An undercover agent escapes from the Pellham House of Psychic Examination and tells of witnessing a satanic ritual, a girl sacrificed on an altar while attended to by four of the biggest names in government secrets -- General Freebourne, Lord Carradine, Dr John Porter and Professor Julian Keeley. Figuring black magic is involved, Inspector MurrayMichael Coles] consults occult expert Professor Lorenla Van Helsing [Peter Cushing]. Van Helsing discovers that Professor Keeley [Freddie Jones], an old friend, was working on a strain of plague. Unfortunately, Van Helsing's visit with Keeley is interrupted by an assailant who shoots Van Helsing and hangs Keeley. WATCH THE FILM! |

Attack of the Crab Monsters |
There’s something to be said for keeping the menace of your science fiction thriller under wraps, but producer / director Roger Corman obviously wanted audiences to know what to expect from the moment they saw the title of this Allied Artists cheapie on the theatre marquee. Monsters were big, big business in the latter ’50s, and 1957 saw the world menaced by giant grasshoppers, giant vultures and even a disgruntled walking tree stump. In retrospect Corman’s crab monsters were no sillier than the rest and his film, which could easily have been just a footnote in the history of creature features, has appeal as a minor camp classic thanks to some inspired casting and a penchant for narrative ridiculousness. |

Horror Hotel
|
A young coed (Nan Barlow) uses her winter vacation to research a paper on witchcraft in New England. Her professor recommends that she spend her time in a small village called Whitewood. He originally cam from that village so he also recommends she stay at the "Raven's Inn," run by a Mrs. Newlis. She gets to the village and notices some weird happenings, but things begin to happen in earnest when she finds herself "marked" for sacrifice by the undead coven of witches. It seems that the innkeeper is actually the undead spirit of Elizabeth Selwyn, and the "guests" at the inn are the other witches who have come to celebrate the sacrifice on Candalmas Eve. As one of them said when Nan walked away, "HE will be PLEASED." |

Plan 9 from Outer Space |
The story of space aliens who try to conquer the Earth through resurrection of the dead. Psychic Criswell narrates ("Future events such as these will affect you in the future!") as police rush through the cemetery, occasionally clipping the cardboard tombstones in their zeal to find the source of the mysterious goings-on. Director-writer-producer-actor Ed Wood is the regular posthumous recipient of the Golden Turkeys for Worst Film and Worst Director, not just of the year, but of All-Time. His badness is the stuff of legend. His heyday was the 1950s and he featured an over-the-hill Bela Lugosi in multiple, virtually identical B-horror movies. Wood’s life and friendship with Lugosi is examined in the amusing film Ed Wood, which is perhaps director Tim Burton’s finest hour and one of Johnny Depp’s best performances. They portray Wood as a kind of Othello, “of one that loved not wisely but too well.” His Plan 9 From Outer Space is sluggish, clunky, repetitive, a technical nightmare, without proper funds, badly-acted, and preachy almost to the point of an insult. Yet it is absolutely earnest. Therein lies its humor and its persistent appeal to cult audiences: it tries so hard, it tries so honestly, and it fails so horribly. |
